In the U.S., the most popular way of exit by investors from venture enterprises is through M&A's, but in Korea, it is through IPO. There is no apparent reason for this difference other than the fact that M&A's are relatively new to Korea. Following the release of “M&A Promotion Measures” announced by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance in March 2014, the lawmakers and the market are trying to expand the tax incentives for M&A and relax the applicable regulations to foster M&A activities. We will see more M&A's in the coming years.
