EHoo was founded in 2013 by a small team of young and energetic lawyers who had been working together for years in corporate and finance practices. The firm is named after the motto of famous school of thought led by Park Jiwon in the late 18th century called "Ee-Yong-Hoo-Saeng” (利用厚生 meaning "using all means for improving practical aspects of daily lives of common people").
